There is just a limit to what you can do and what you can't. Some people learn it the hard way, I learnt it too late. Never have I expected that things would turn out to be like this, it was really one of the best moments in my life and has also become the worse now. 

Trust me, this pain is indescribable but inevitable.

Solemnization and Birthday celebration in November'13

16th November 2013

Nicholas kor (a.k.a Bing Bing) have solemnized on this date! Really really happy for him! He's one of my relatives who took care of my family quietly, yet contributed a lot to us. True that he was not very active when he was young (slightly mischievous), in actual fact he have grown up to be such a matured man, thoughtful for everyone around him, incomparable filial to the elders and of course competent in both his studies and career (First class honours, and now in Navy as a Captain at just 27).

Heh heh! And of course, my precious little's birthday celebration! Alright, she did complain it is a little boring, the usual meal and 'normal' activities. Well, we'll see about that... as for now.. I chose the Lola's cafe located around in Kovan (with some sophisticated queuing system). Here goes:

This post is really a long outstanding accrual! You can call it an excuse, but you cannot prioritise blog post to work or studies eh?

I believe I have much to mention for things that were missed out previously and how days have been until now. Here we go! Let's start with...

30/09/12.. DJ's registration of marriage! Being the head of the Foo's, she have wholeheartedly sacrificed her singlehood to a very nice gentleman, whom we call 'Ben'. From my opinion, he may not be a stud, but I believe he is the knight who arrived and rescued DJ at the right time; the one who can give DJ happiness and security! 

Ok, i take back my words - he does look great here! =D

07/10/12... Following DJ's marriage, next in line was Desmond!

I am really really envious of him for having such wise brain, promising career, jovial character and always so charismatic! Not forgetting our beloved  大嫂, a soft-spoken, demure and ever-sweet petite who compliment so well with our 大哥! 

I'm sure they are the sweetest couple ever!

03/02/13... Not lagging far behind was 老三! The youngest couple of us! You'll never believe how compatible they can be despite the duration of their relationship. Ms Esther and Kason! How fortunate of Esther to meet such a tall handsome man!

I'm still awed by their luck, to get a very nice HDB unit number. Not going to reveal their unit location here, but trust me that their house value will rise up definitely! Congratulations, Esther and Kason!

With a marriage introduction, everybody must be feeling all the love! Let's continue with CNY 2013!

January'13..Hehe! At Aunt's house for CNY! This year, we have with us a much older Meat Ball! =) Say hi to that little girl! *you should have seen how she snatched money from the little boy's cashier toy in the house. I'm sure she'll grow to grab more money! Good good! 

I must say, CNY will be different without the maternal relatives! Thanks for all the ang bao! Wishing for more mahjong session with Rachel Jie! 

February'13.. Birthday!

Hehe! Had a good celebration with the best guys in town! It's really heartening to see all gathering around despite their busy schedule to celebrate Meng's and my birthday, coinciding with a lao yu sheng session!

This year was really different as I received a very unexpected and expensive gift from them. But I must say, even without the present, I am more than happy enough to have all of you around me whenever, wherever. Thanks guys! Heartfelt appreciation! =DDD

Haha! I really hope Brian and Darren can find their soul mates soon, so that everyone has a partner and I need not worry about their future that much!

Of course! Siglap was where it began, so I thought attending Ces't La Vie 5 together was going to be a nice reunion with our alma mater. You guessed it, just to bring to the readers' notice, we have been in one anothers' life for 11 years and counting! (Yeap, Secondary 1 was 2002)

2013 was quite a hectic year for work as this year's peak was definitely nothing like last year, and I don't mean for the better. Everything was thrown to us face-flat and we have to comprehend with whatever and however we can! Nevertheless, I am really thankful for the bunch of people who are always there for one-another. I hope all of us will stay as long as we can together! Presenting, the AA1s '12!

Just an additional picture for memory sake, the PwC bball team 2012! We clinched the 1st runner-up for bball and contributed to the overall Champion for PwC in this year's CPA Games! (we lost to KP for bball, they were too strong!)

Last but not least, I wanna share that despite the busy weeks and crazy long working hours, I want to thank my little sweetheart for understanding and the patience given! Of course, you're the reason why I work and for that I believe I have survived yet another peak! Thanks, Ms Pringles! 

Now that it's mid-year, I think I should start on working out already, fats are all spilling out!

It's her birthday!

This year's splurge, Graze @ Rochester Park.

Experience wise, of course it could not be as good as Jewelbox's cable car last year, but food is definitely better here - much tastier, classy and unique (in some sense).

The place is rather inconvenient for customer like us who has no car, hence we'll have to walk about 10 minutes from 'the Star' which is next to Buona Vista station. Fed some nyamuks (mosquitoes) during the stroll.

Recommended by Moses (colleague), this place is actually good for their brunch and steak. A pity she couldn't take beef hence Salmon and a Duck quiche was on our table instead. NICEEE!! I like that duck dish!

It's a little regretful that I signed up for 3 papers at 1 go this semester, and I even thought of taking 3 papers next semester as well; If you know, it's actually our peak!

So much pressure to clear these papers in the shortest time possible, yet not wanting to fail any of them so as to save $$! Wish me all the best!!

Bball

Our bball team has become a Finals contender in the recent CPA games! We're just 1 game shy from the finals!

40-6 to Nexia,

58-19 to Kpmg (b), and

48-20 to EY.

What a remarkable achievement considering we have never won any of our friendly! Haha! What a team which never fail to motivate one another and cheer each of us on! That's why I like intelligent like-minded people. There may be angry situations sometimes, but they put anger into control and spur the party up instead - not only is it helpful in encouraging someone, it improves the team bonding! On the contrary, not-so-intelligent  people would just want to prove they're right, shout like nobody business, blaming the loss (pass tense) on anybody but himself and then everything start turning southwards; in the end nothing achieved.

Just a simple deduction on what's the difference between a good and a bad teammate, please tell me you are not the latter, because I'll despise you. =C

Nevertheless, not everyone is perfect. =)

Woes woes all the way to my toes!

What should I do to the white hair that are rapidly making their territory on my head!! It so annoying that I see a few strand of them sticking out when I see my reflection in the mirror, as if it is flaunting to me that there's nth I can do about it. Trust me, I removed them when I can, but it just will not eliminate them - THEY'RE EVERYWHERE!!!

ok, it's not really that bad actually, just worried for the future. If you have any remedy for white hair, feel free to approach me! Save my hair, save my age!

I'm back to Running Man! It's HILARIOUS!! Please watch them when you can to brighten you day and hopefully prolong your life!

Isn't she wise to have chosen such a wonderful guy to ever be by her side! She may be a Graduate now, but her smartest choice is to follow me!

It's already a year, but it seems just like recently that we first talked to each other. I still must thank my courage for granting me such an amazing xx-chromosomes holder. Never fail to show me concern, never fail to challenge me, never fail to tease me, never fail to keep my smiles hanging. Most importantly, never fail to show me how important I am to her. ^^

Well, she just make me stronger every time; Love makes me strong.

It's not my style to make a big hoo-hah over anniversary or what-nots, nonetheless, I think it's nice to step out of my traditional shell and show some love once in a while!

I love you, Ms Steffi! For being there everytime and anytime when I need you!

It's been a while since we had fun like good'ol days; until we decided to be young again (and spent some hard-earned cash)!

USS with the BOSB - where we can do rides individually, cutting our waiting time SIGNIFICANTLY! Haha! Beside missing the parade and not taking photo with Puss in Boots, this was a worthy USS trip for just $60/-!

Off Peak!

Miami heats were crowned! Congrats, LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Shane Battier. =)

As the playoff season ends, my peak come to a slow. Not bad.. a good way to close off my 1st peak as an auditor. Phew.. what a way to start my career!! Now, the most exciting part is to receive the letter! *wink wink!*

Got a job!

June 12 papers are over! Dang, why did I not balance the SFPs and cash flow!?! Dang!! If it fails, I'm in deep shit~ *shake head* On the other hand, Audit paper was manageable, fortunately. 

Before the December paper come, i just got a big knock on my head that I should start on regular revision instead of just rushing everything inside my head in the last 3 weeks! Therefore I decided to plan for my subsequent weeks until my next papers:

1) To set aside time for work and revision

2) 3 hours on every weekend to study!

3) At the same time, make time for bball and workouts!

4) Maintain my room cleanliness. LOL!

I'm motivated to do the above now, who knows what will happen 2 months, or maybe 2 weeks down the road.

Sad...

Sad that Celtics did not make it to the finals, guess their hey-day is really over.

Jia Juan is now employed! woo hoo! Not much worries already because now she can feed me! Wahaha!!

Celtics to Conference Finals!

What a heart-warming headline from NBA.com. I am surprised Rondo to be an emotional boy given his outstanding yet underrated performance in the Green jersey. From what it seems, Paul Pierce was giving Rondo the consolation when the Sixers tied game 6.

With an aging team, Celtics' weakness starts to appear; which explains the frequent full 7 games played during playoffs. It is evident that the team plays with high fatigue compared to the younger, faster opponents who are very much playoff contender. I am very please Rondo is able to apprehend the pressure and holding the seniors in place! Well done!

Nope, not a very great fan on Rondo, my support is still towards Kevin Garnett, since the day he brought Timberwolves into the playoffs under my witness - Like how he brought celtics to the playoff again after the long playoff drought.

Will Celtics hold off the arrogant heats? I do hope the Heats can be cooled off by the greens, despite the fact that James and team are very much stronger and faster. 

Let's wait for game 5, which I think would be the crucial point for both teams - I'm certain it is not going to be a 4-0 series.

Ha! Before May comes to an end, I thought I should put up one post, so as to uphold my monthly postings promise. I know the interval between this and the previous one is more than a month, but who cares? =P

Was not in the mood then, partially due to absence of Jia Juan (while she send me pictures of Mr J restaurant! MR J Restaurant, mind you. Oh god.. Mr J.. Argh... J....)  as well as piling work load which I believe can push Earth out her orbit. Not kidding, and I must admit that my work performance has deteriorated gradually. I will blame the rest debt. 

Something to be proud of - No MC taken to date. Something to be miserable about - been working despite being ill as well as working late nights and even weekends.

Haha! Complaints about work again. Let me whine, will you? I'm just trying to save (or convince) my readers from the bane of Audit! LOOK AT MY WHITE HAIRS!! 

One more mind-throbbing issue - I'm not saving. WHY!?! Since September'11, my bank balance (only 1 which  receives my Salary) hovers just about $200!! Goodness~ Resolution for now (before the year ends in misery), to be more sceptical about what I spent on, as well as being more humble with tips and treats.

Complaints aside, I'm glad things are getting back on track after her return! 

i) work is starting to be manageable - work

ii) got my shooting sense back after ytd's match with Pinoys - bball

iii) won my first mahjong match since last year. LAST YEAR!! - luck

iv) had time for killing floor as well as supper! - BOSB

v) Mealtime is back to normal - Diet

vi) studying is back on track with more understanding - ACCA

Alright, I don't know why but Jia Juan has this thing about Thailand which made Thai movie a must for us. I think what hurt people most is about forgetting. You understand that right? If you still cannot relate, what about someone forgetting your Birthday?

I am well aware how much irate there is if someone forgets what you told him/her. In my POV, it's another way of saying I'm not bothered. I'm guilty of being absent-minded, but it's really not my fault. I have a problem of selective memory, and the portion which allow registry is below a tenth of my memory box. I'm sorry.

And this movie just brings it to another level. Your loved one forgets you.

Perhaps Channing was very good at taking up the role and expressing the character's emotions and feelings because my eyes were feeling warm.

I hope you have heard about the next movie because it was the movie which brought me nearest to tear. It has a similar plot to 'The Vow' (or the other way round.)

Disclaimer: I'm not into some kind of love psychological problem, just sharing the too-little-to-mention movies which I have watched. I don't really appreciate films, but I do respect shows with good plot and story.

I'm not sure which is one that determine my way of thinking; If it's zodiac, then does everybody born with the same zodiac think like how I think? I doubt that! So as much as I want to believe in those Zodiac things (fortune-telling, personality, health predictions), I have some reservations for it as well!

Haha! Not avoiding these beliefs because the Dragon people are going to have a bad year ahead, instead it's me not getting any luck despite positive (even 'very very prosperous') predictions for the past years. Sad eh?
