World's First Night F1 Race

26-28th Sep 2008.

What a historical weekend to mark the first-ever formula 1 night race. Quite many first times, in fact. Singapore's first contact with the remarkable formula 1 races. Asia's first street/city race. World's first F1 race under lights. Also Nico Rosberg's first attempt to the pole position.

Indeed I'm honoured to have joined the team in making this grand prix a successful one! Congrats to the planning committee, congrats to Alonso and congrats Singapore!!

Actually, I'm quite thankful to Pawan for correcting my pronounciation for "Grand Prix". Fortunately, I don't use this words oftenly and I managed to use it in front of Pawan and let him spot it. Thanks! =)

By the way, it's pronounce as "Gron - Pree"

Enjoyed my working period with the team. Here are some pictures snapped!

Veteran Bball Tournament

Hehe... One of my favourite Mediacorp Artist (in a not very clear photo, darn!)

Anyway, been to Geylang Serai Community Centre to witness some Veteran basketball tournament. It's a tournament meant for uncles after the age of 40s. The celebrity team were invited by the host as an attraction i think. Took some photos of them in action, but...you can't expect much from a Sony Ericsson z610 2mp(with no zoom) camera alright? loL.

Christopher Lee(Li Ming Sun) was no. 19, on the extreme left. Allan Wu, next to Lee with his hands at the nose. The "William" from the 9pm show is the one jumping the ball - He's one of the better player.

interestingly, they've printed the back of all the jerseys with the no. 12. Not certain of their reason, but it sure gave the referees lots of mistakes with the reporting. *suddenly the no. 12 player gets a foul when he's not even on the court. loL!*

Next. While having the training for the F1 thingy at Suntec Convention, i've noticed there's a church event. It's meant for young kids.

And...surprisingly, they can park their vehicle...real well! See!

Side view.

Isn't it cute? Adorable man!!

Next next.

Have you ever chanced upon a switch that's fool-proof. It's a switch which functions exactly like any other switch, except that it's purpose is a little different from the rest.

Other switches helps you to turn off the electric flow when not in use so as to be safe and also to conserve precious (pricey) power consumption.

However, this switch of today, is there just for show.

get it? there's no other option. Either On, or...On.

Zoom!!!

Anyway, went to STOMP and saw this picture. To my disgust, horror...it coincidentally happened in Pasir Ris. OooO... I'm sure you were looking for more details of their uniforms right. Haiz... What a disappointment.

hahaz...so, is there still need for me to tell you what school is it?

Hitler and ERP

Recently, other than the American's financial deteriorating issues, there were also a big hoo-haa with regards to the emerge of new ERP gantries.

Anyway, let's talk a bit about America's economy at the moment. I'm quite concerned about it actually, for a no. 4 bank in America to fall in a flick of a finger. I remembered it was still standing proud in the top 10 list of the wealthiest bank, asset-wise, in America when we were doing our Corporate Finance Project (we were researching on the merger for JPMorgan(2nd) and Chase bank(6th)). F.Y.I, the share price of Lehman Brothers slumped from a honourable US$67.73 to a junk figure of US$0.10 within 52 weeks (or less).

Now, it has declared bankrupt over the previous weekend (yes, if you haven't been reading the news, this is the fact). Huge funds are also pumped in to several other Companies(banks) from the federal reserve to help salvage the already devastated situation. Poor thing. I hope AIG can leap across this very difficult obstacle with the US$85 billion bridge! *cause my family have policies with the AIA too! =(*

Bear Stearns and Merril Lynch was fortunate to be saved by other unaffected firms. Poor Lehman Brothers who helped to shield off most of the debt must have brought disappointment to the pioneer brothers. =( x2

Let's pray for a better economy ahead (although there's only negative premonition in my head for the near future).

Anyway...show you something really hilarious, with link to my title!!

before that... ...

DISCLAIMER: THIS IS PURELY FOR ENTERTAINMENT AND THERE'S NO OTHER INTENTION. I REPEAT, PURELY FOR ENTERTAINMENT!!!

Thanks!

Haha! Funny!

I'm prepared for a chalet (sleepless nights) marathon! =P

Ngee Ann City 08'

Lol~ indeed, i'm envious because our team only get $300 with one trophy where one other troupe had 8 times our prize money, trophy and additional medals as well. Zzz~

However, i'm very contented that i'm given the opportunity to compete in the final stage of lion dance competition at Ngee Ann City in the name of my own troupe, S.P.L.D, before i graduate. =P (not like some idiot who find it proud to perform for some other troupe and still be so arrogant~ boo!! )
Anyway, I'm really thankful for Singapore Polytechnic, which made me fulfilled quite a lot of wishes. One of which is the competition mentioned as above. (which i never dreamt i could) Here's one good memory...

Really thankful for the friends and teammates for this opportunity! =)

Anyway, team, if you're looking at this blog, wanna show you something for getting the 7th position in this competition:

Hehe!! Understand? =P

Anyway, was waiting for a bus yesterday night at around 12am in Orchard area. And was wondering...

Take care!
