CNY 2011! and 22!

Have I told you before? 2 is my Favourite Number! and to double that, I'm turning 22! WEEEEE~~~~

Maybe I would say this could be the favourite year of my life? I hope so...the 1st thing in my mind is that ORD occurs THIS YEAR!! ROAR!!

Was spring cleaning over the weekends and 're'-discover my diaries. 2 of them, one from primary and the other covers from sec sch-present. haha~ I noticed the change of my sentence structure, maturity in writing and vocab & grammer improvements! Tsk tsk... My diary post are usually written with vivid details, so much so they can make me live the past virtually as I read and reminisce at the same time. Sweet and naive memories I have... unforgettable.

Alright, I've been cursing, deemed myself unlucky and less fortunate (in the sense of bgr and social life) However, I neglected the fact I used to have very lucky and irreplaceable past, both in Pri and Sec school...especially Sec school period. It was like a golden period of mine... let's take a look:

Got the 1st crush in pri sch (she studied in the same poly/class as me, how coincidental),
Studied in a Em1 class,
Received Singa Merit award (cute hor?),
Knew Jeremy,
Started engaging Basketball (after kenna ram-but by a mutt in a casual soccer game made me gave up on that checkered ball)
and... discovered my talent in skipping. (my record, I hit a 600+ in a minute which got me champion!)

Sec sch:
Lion danced (my childhood fear-turned interest)
Studied triple-science,
Got directors' award from RedCross Youth HQ and attained the highest rank in the student system,
Won the 1st champion for our school's red cross among the district in footdrill,
Engaged in official basketball matches under school team, oh ya I was qualified to represent the school team *proud*,
Met my 1st love (sad ending though, shan't elaborate =( ),
Achieved many awards in the school, including Eagles award, edusve scholarships, harnessing youth *** award etc..
and most importantly I found true friends/buddies/brothers/comrades that are still around me since!

thumbs up for a summary of my past encounters.. ^^

Anyway... it's a week before the CNY. I'm pretty looking forward to it as it means income, monetary'ly! *loL!!* and not forgetting the period where mahjong is legal everywhere!! WAHAHAHAZ!!!!!

Sad to say, Lion dance is not my priority this year, so income will be greatly reduced, part of the reason is because my 'theme' for this year, also my resolution, is to be around and there for my loved ones... which I may have neglected in past years. Mainly my own family, my cousins, my fishes and BOSB! =) Peace out!

DID I TELL YOU I KENNA GUARDY DUTY ON CHU 3?!?!? Damn suay, I picked the lot myself...no one to blame, but I'm pretty touched by my detachment mate effort to actually fork out $40 each (so made up $200) and the rest by myself to pay someone else to replace me. (Guard duty on that day can sell up to $300! omfg)

Nope, I'm appreciative but I can't let them spend innocent money on me..I turned down their kind offer... Really thankful! but I'd rather do it myself...just 24 hours + no lion dance..might as well.. So, I'm not free on Saturday. Sorry buddies!

alright, booking in tonight! Catch ya around! =)

Happy Lunar New Year to you you YOU!!=D

Story of a Pencil

A man was writing and stopped to look at his pencil.
He held the pencil up and talked to it... pencil, let me tell you 5 things about yourself.

1) You will have to be controlled by a hand in your life, you have to adapt and get used to it.

2) You will have to suffer many sharpening process. It will be painful but you will be a better pencil after that.

3) Sometimes, you will make mistakes and you might be corrected by erasers. Let it be.

4) No matter how beautiful or ugly the exterior is, you must understand what's important is inside you!

5) Ultimately, you will realize you're able to leave marks behind which will last forever and become history.

EXE Agni Warrior

Alright, exercise agni warrior 10/11 was finally over, fatep also completed. Now, waiting for ORD lo...
On the day of flight, really appreciate my parents, sis and zach with Jo for coming to the airport. It was a very unearthly hour, yet they came! Touched! Thanks zach for driving my parents home! =)

ok, to the topic

let's put up some photos of us in action over at Incredible India.
I can't really tell you where we exactly are due to confidentiality... but i guess you roughly know where it is la. =)

Let's start with..a brief pix of our bunk:
it's like a much 'cosy' style of BMT. Yeap, unfortunately I sleep on the upper deck..
Honestly, without friends whom you can talk cock and play around with, it's going to tough there...
Jo, Me, Ray and Lewis! =)

Shortly after we've arrived for 2 days, it's ready for our exercise proper and the real action begins. We set off!
On the tonner with our prized asset.

No time to fool around..didn't record or snap down our deployment procedures (confidential and time constraint) still, this is the end-product of our deployed gun, under camo.

Mission continues bla bla bla...
and me in Action! Yeap, that's my role there~

btw, did i tell you that? I'm the no.3 man (out of the 8 man team) as the APU driver. Basically, I drive this gun (yes, it's self-propelled) and I control the loading mechanism as well.

Oh yes, it's a live-firing so The projectile!

Yeap, swakus as we are, just like previous batches..we signed our rounds!
This is our detachment signature...all 8 of ours!

and next is my personal one!
hehe, Garfield!
with signature...

It's really a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The impact and recoil from the gun is kinda out of the world. Now I can really understand how a nuclear/atomic bomb can cause devastating consequence. Our 155 is just normal HE yet has already high damage potential, needless to say our WP and other much fatal kinds of projectiles!

with only 2 charges (highest for our whole live-firing), we can already feel the back blast so spine-chilling and deafening, I can't see ourself firing with 3 more charges (max is 5). fuyo!

anyway, was greeted by this billion dollars building by one of the richest man in the world! nice eh? It says the 1st 3 or 5 stories are carpark which stored 200 cars. Crazy. How I wish I could have just 1% of his wealth, fantasizing the fortune and life I'll be soaking in...*wooTs*

and last but not least, after 19 days of very cold and very hot weather... we finally make our way back. Nice...
SQ is still the best because it just tells you, you're going home.

i'm going

Alright...I'm about to leave tonight.

Not feeling excited;
Will be a tough exercise there;
Not going to enjoy the moment there;
Will I have enough clothings to change there?;
What's the worse things that are ever going to happen to me?;
Are the snakes and scorpions there friendly?;
The weather is going to be fine right?;
The evaluator's not a bitch;
I miss dota... ...

Yea...kind of sum up my mixed feelings now.

Anyway, despite my reluctance to this trip, I'm pretty happy about what's going to happen after I return. If nothing goes horribly wrong there, I'll be enjoying my pre-ORD mood already.
After this trip, I'm more or less a complete soldier/gunner. Haha...no more outfields after this!

But...IF (touch wood) something really happens...I'll just say, i'm going to die in regrets. There's many things I haven't done nor make up to yet. So sad... Part of it is her, part of it is another her and another part is you you you!! loL! Not sure if you understand, but... just know i'm still living in regrets yet to be settled. If you do know what i'm talking about...please accomplish for me if I can't make it.

thanks. and bon voyage to me!! =)
