2010!

A toast! to 2010!

Well, like my facebook wall-post said so, it just make me feel alive or belonged with the BOSB's companionship!

Although every year, we are so restricted by the options we manage to get together at such special occasions. Despite the lousy setting, the bad plan and uncertain attendance; everything still go on smoothly. =)

Our start of the year was located in Watercross which we discovered..erm...quite recently. It's like a good'o last minute place to stay together with. Quite lively there and sure Clarence was enjoying his eye-candy session. Yes, he got no. from one of the waitress, he was quite high then. loL!

We also have a special appearance by Lau Jia JiuN! =)

Pictures!
what's zach showing?
kenna saboh!
Brian is really good with the hoops!

Happy new year, people! =)

X'mas and shi fu's + Yun ru's birthday

A pity shi ming and clarence weren't able to join us. We did a mini-celebration for Yun Ru's 20th birthday. It wasn't thoroughly planned but it didn't appeared worse than i thought it would be. I still see her smiles! *Hope it was real?*

Anyway, it's the day for Christmas again! No present for me though, I'm a free thinker! What are you expecting, Mel?

So before that was also Shi Fu's birthday, and the celebration was held at Geylang. Not in the hotel or red-light district but the Huang's Clan.

Honest speaking, I was very touched when I first see Shi Fu's daughter who came all the way to that inaccessible place to give him a cake. We jolly well know that she wouldn't know any of us there! Still, I'm really proud of her to make herself present. I'm not sure if she were here for shi fu's bday celebration the past years.

Back to Yun ru. loL! Was also appreciative that she made time for us to celebrate with her! Watched sherlock holmes together with the BOSB. Great movie!

Not sure how new year's going to be like, but the upcoming year is when most of us are turning 21! Haha... Watch out for it!

Don't know what i'm blogging anyways...

better sign off before more bullshit is typed here.

Till new year!

Block leave

The day I became a Private.

Yea, like I've mentioned in the previous post. BMT has since passed and we had our passing out parade(POP) just last Tuesday. Haven't really gotten the chance to settle down and upload these precious photos.

Come to think about it, many thing happened within this 2 months eh?

How we started as complete strangers.
How we adapt to the new habitat.
How we start to get back to sleeping and waking up early.
How we try to finish half-full bottle within limited time.
How we queue, eat, drink, dispose within 20 mins.
How we source out information to prevent blisters and remedy to it.
How we made our boots from awkward to comfortable footwear.
How we try to put everything on and off the shortest time possible.
How we learn to calling the right people at the right time.
How we start to appreciate our family and home.
How we start to get 'blood in our brain' almost every now and then.
How we replaced walking with "double up".
How we walked through the never-ending route marches with Full-battle order.
How we learn to strip and assemble rifle.
How we learn to fire a rifle.
How we throw a grenade.
How we dug shell-scrape.
How we survived during outfield.
How fucked up army-life can be and ultimately...
How we became a special band of brothers.

Well, everyone who went through BMT will definitely have what seemed like never ending stories to tell. It's rather amazing how this 2 months have totally changed most of our lives. Some may have matured while some became stronger. The most consoling event is when I see most of my section mates improved their IPPT score in such limited period. They said it was impossible, but we done it eventually. =)

I wouldn't say our platoon were the best in terms of physical fitness nor combat fitness. However, I still place my Section first, as the wildest and most happening group of 12 men.

Have I told you the prank they once played on me? It was embarrassing, but it was definitely unforgettable. Should I Share? I think i should...

Our whole platoon was once confined for a weekend, so the whole Company line sort of belongs to us all. Well, we're told to clean the COY line. When we're done, we returned to our bunk to rest but were warned not to sleep as we weren't allowed to. However, fatigue got the better of some of us, I was also a victim to the bed.

As i slowly doze off, i heard...

"FUCK ALL OF YOU! WHO SAY YOU GUYS CAN SLEEP!?! WHOLE FUCKING PLATOON KNOCK IT DOWN.. I SAY DOWN!!!"

and i woke up. I sat up on my bed, i turned to look outside of our bunk. I saw Glenn, our bed 1, being 'pumped' outside together with the rest of the platoon.

"1!! 2!! 3!! 4!!"

"FUCK!" I screamed.

Then I jumped off my bed, and tactical duck-walked to the door then...

Yes, it was just a scam. I was so embarassed. loL! I sat at the door (which I hid after the tactical duck-walk) and laughed at myself. It was so obvious yet i didn't realise. If they were to punish those sleeping, they would come straight in and pump me instead isn't it? Plus, my section mates would have waken me up right? loL! How silly. This happens when you're too tired. Like what our commanders always said "What?! Shaq cannot think?"

Yes, as expected, they laughed their ass off. Not only me, Eugene, a National Bowler from Section 3, fell off his twin bed upon hearing the counts. lol!

What a confinement...

Anyways, our POP!
Our platoon sergeant. Very nice guy. Glenn on the left, and Kian tat on the right! =)
The wildest section! With our beloved Sec Com, 3sgt Kenny

Anyway, while uploading those photos from the camera, i found this. I wish i could pass this to Failblog...

Fail!

POP!

Wow...POP is coming! What a relief.

Just some reflections...

With a blink of an eye and it's 2 months already, POP is just 2 days from now.
Kind of hard to believe, but I've cleared Ippt so nicely with just 1 min shy from a gold (I know the difference is long, but still quite an achievement for me!)

Managed SOC with an open wound so big on my palm that I cursed and swear as I complete the Swing trainer and bit my teeth through the whole low rope process...

Route march seemed easy to everyone else, until you try it with Full-battle order. I still have doubts over completion of 24km on Tuesday, wish me luck!

We've survived field camp sweetly, all those bullshit arti and shell-scrap. Give me a break!

Urban ops? You could have thought it was some kind of games, but it's cool with all those blanks and sounds.

Live range/btp... wow, live rounds! You could kill one with that, serious! *achieved marksman!* and also threw a live hand grenade... unbelievable.

now...we're rehearsing our graduation parade which falls on the 8th December.

Yes 8th Dec, I do remember this date... it's unfortunate things had happened. I'm sure she wouldn't read this, but I do hope she wouldn't mind if I place this picture here. It's nice, reminiscing those times we shared together... I know it's history already. haha!

I've put this in my Biography with the Ninja, as it's part of the "memorable and meaningful" part, people in BMTC will know what i'm talking about. Hopefully it'll be kept there forever and nice.

Anyway, this photo is still with me, and I really like the smiles on the face...

If you're reading... Happy Birthday in Advance, as that's also the day I pass out.. ...

BFF (yea, those girlish terms)

What is more comfortable and pleasant than meeting your pal after booking out of that dreadful forest and coy line, cycling to the park, enjoying the peaceful breeze while enticing your taste buds with McNuggets, quenching thirst with the ice cool milo and crapping whole night long!

CooL eh! I guess this is the 1st photo i took since enlistment. Nice eh? I kinda like the expression. Very sincere and natural. Maybe it's the quality from the brand new Canon toy which Jeremy just laid his hands on.

Sweet!

*I'm now itchy for Donuts (i know, it's Doughnuts). Get me some! J.co, Donut factory, cheap one...Anything will do!

Owl City - FireFlies

This song's melody is rather pleasant and smooth while the video is rather appealing, however I couldn't embed it here, so I can just show you this 'fake' mv while you can still appreciate the music. If you want to have a chance to watch the original video, you can try this link : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aI4JLa0hbUw

Rather comfortable listening to it. =)

Good recommendation by Jeremy. It's weird cause he's that kind of person who's not so into pop songs. Cool~

1 week and days to POP! ARGH!!!

Duty, Honour, Country....ENDURE!!!

Lonely

Lonesome.

Fortunately, my section mates were kinda funky and happening people. They removed these sense of anxiety and tension in me during these dreadful 7 weeks. Darren is also a neighbour of my Coy line. Besides that, I'm quite helplessly lonely. =( I need my friends man... Just hope this 2 and half week will pass quickly so as to join my beloved pillars of strength again. I think I'm beginning to cherish them more now. BOSB, DAC Classmates, SPLD people, DOTA mates etc...

I need... ...

Well, a week of live range shooting. After 2 days, I got my Marksman. What an embarrassment, with the "help" of my platoon commander and assistant. Zzz...my weapon wasn't well-zero'ed, which got me going back to that same place for 2 days! Haha, but at least I know now I'm not a bobo-shooter and I can combat zero! =P

Felt a pity, I missed the outing with my fellow SPLD mates... not sure if they still remember my being? However, kinda missed being with them. Sorry Frankie and Max! I didn't attend the mini celebration you had! =(

Weeks are passing by quite smoothly now. Hopefully, the last few weeks will end nicely.

IPPT on Monday, wish me luck for I'll strain my abs, jump with might, pull with charm, sprint with speed and run like never before!! loL! *but no worries, i'm not in the "gold" Sector...*

and... ...

if you're free... ...

please help me pray I won't end up in a combat unit? PLEASE!!!

Thank you! Love ya! =P

end of the world!

Watched this very interesting show; something that relates to the possible apocalypse of dooms-day!

I wouldn't say this movie is very brilliant. Like many other movies, this one also have a handful of loopholes. Like, how can those survival transports, being overpopulated/overloaded, still manage to generate so much electricity/energy to power the ship/computers/lights/air-con/electric gates for as long as it wanted? How did they manage to produce food that can feed the whole lot of population in the ship for 27 days and more? How was communication possible when the world is more or less destroyed? loL!!

However, the cast were great la. They did manage to include some reality and facts into the show. The effects were also commendable. =) I'd give 7/10 for the show.

Back to life...real life... ...

Lol! If you've kept close notice with my blog you'd realized I did blogged about the same thing (2012 as judgement day) 2 or 3 weeks ago. So many sources and information link to this very day/year that we homosapians are going to be wiped out... zzz...

So, by then I'd have just ORD and preparing to lead a normal civilian life again. Probably, i'll be back to studying and pursuing an ACCA together with a degree. I might just still be Single with no one to care for beside my parents and family. How pathetic.

Lol! I'll be witnessing how the world crumble while still a Virgin. HAHAHA!!! Knn, where did that come from!?!

And if the 2012 catastrophe really happen, what will you do?

I'll pop in 10 boxes of panadol pills. Great isn't it? Don't copy my idea hor! Copyright! =P

Aiyah...stop being so pessimistic la, MelviN!

By the way, my sianzation sensation is being doubled when i learnt that i couldn't take Sit Test. After the 12km route march and the 4km run that morning, one of our Sir read out the detail listing and my name wasn't mentioned. I have this status of Excuse kneeling permanently which I realise only then.
And because I can't take SIT Test means no more command school for me!! Quite disappointed by this news man. So far, my things in BMT all so swee... Felt so crapz! Now have to be a man liao...and the fact that i'm in PES B and combat fit, I sure kenna those combat unit one lor... GG. If only 2012's thing come sooner.

SIANZ!!!! I miss my freedom!

Field camp,

Muddy uniform. Brown boots. Persistent stench. What an experience.

I think I can never see myself, in the middle of a forest at all cost within 4 seconds, proning down on a suspended branch and break it with my groin again. It's all for the sake of not "re-field camp".

Yet, miraculously, I survived it anyway.

Ok. I'm not going to talk so many things with regards to my BMT life here in my blog. I think it's kinda boring, unless you really come and experience it. I wish I could have the freedom I once had.

Please give my freedom back to me asap! =(

21st December 2012??

Watch this!

Video courtesy from youtube and "http://www.2012warning.com/"

On our way home after a good 'soaking session' with Zachary and Clarence, we touched a topic on "21 Dec 2012".
If you've read news and some internet controversies, you'll come to know that there's a strong prediction about this particular date; a prediction that will affect every life on Mother Earth: Judgement day (a.k.a End of the world).

Being second-named as a cat, I'm curious enough to make some searches on the internet to gather more sources about it and come across "Nostradamus"

"Nostradamus enthusiasts have credited him with predicting numerous events in world history, from the Great Fire of London, by way of the rise of Napoleon I of France and Adolf Hitler, to the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center,[11] but only ever in hindsight."

Many people have credited his predictions, claiming all those disasters, rise of evil and loss of lives were actually predicted. However, these predictions are just post diction (retroactive clairvoyance)
Noticed I bold the last part of the sentence? "but only ever in hindsight." All those prediction are only "accurate" after those major events had happened. They exposed the "hits" and ignore the "misses." In the modern and scientific world where logic are crucial, I would support the latter. Predictions are mere predictions, if they are accurate the world would be led and controlled by all those prophets and seers. Earth will then be a peaceful place with all bad and downsides well-avoided.

Sitting on the Fence, I would prefer not standing by any sides. I can't confidently say all his predictions are all bullshit, yet can I say human will definitely survive through 21st December 2012. We can just LL(a.k.a lan lan, a.k.a suck thumb).

Poor us. Now that 21st dec 2012 rumour/belief is disclosed to the world, shit is going to happen. Remember during the millenium where they pre-claim that it might also be a death day, there was an uncle who spent all his life-savings on Gambling and etc before dying in assumed worth, only to realise there was a 2nd Jan 2000. What the f#@$!! Now the 2012 thing is going to be on a much macro-scaled, wonder how much worse is it going to be.

To actually make this post of mine relate to us more, I would just conclude by reminding everyone: "be it the accuracy of prediction, or our beliefs, we must live everyday like there's no next! Cherish whatever you have and don't accumulate regrets. So whether there's a judgement day or not, we live in worth."

Cheers. *though I pray to see my grandchild...=(*

BMTC 2 - Rec. FOO, N2209

Haha...Found this through a DAC Mate. Look at my blur-cocked face there. Needless to say, with my superb drill knowledge during Secondary school, I'm the most smartest within the squad! =P

After those dreadful months of freedom and nothingness, my 1 year 10 months have started.
In a blink of eye, 2 weeks of the most torturous 9 weeks have also passed. What a relief. Tough the training may be, they're manageable, fortunately. Lucky my hand didn't fail me throughout the pull-ups and training, but I can feel the fatigue within them. Poor hands.

If you guys are still keen to know which company I belong and stuff, alright let me enlighten you guys for that. I really blame my luck for this... I'm assigned to Ninja Company, platoon 2 section 2. How how how unfortunate. Fucking suay~

Facing the ground, surrounded by vulgarities and feeling the wet attire almost every minute in the day. Sianzation sensation.

Anyway, gotta book in soon. Hope to get back in touch with you guys again! Really miss you guys when I'm stucked inside. =(

BukitTimahBikeTrail - Conquered.

Gone bukit timah to hike...erm...bike! =)

Oomagawd! Really an extraordinary experience to ride there. So much an experience whereby after conquering that trail, I thought no other tracks can pose any threat to my bike and I anymore. It's that bad.

Cycling down the slope, steep slope, was as if taking a ride on the pirate ship in Gold Coast Theme Park without any safety mechanism on. Yea, we didn't have helmet or any other safety gears on. Lucky we made it out alive. Was quite thankful to Brian for choosing the "visitor's centre" direction as soon as he saw it.

Piece of advice. Don't push your luck. Bring at least a helmet if you're ever going to cycle there.

Outpost! It's well-named.
Our blue horses.
Indeed another wonderful outing before army.

okok, I can feel the hate of me mentioning about army here and there rising. Really sorry about it. I just can't accept the fact it's coming so soon? =( Sigh...

*if only I can lay like this with outpost on the field whole day long...*

Impressive!

Hehe, poached this straight from Yun Ru's blog. I must say that i'm really impressed by the director's precision and patience. Not to forget his creativity! Goodness! If only Singapore can be half as innovative as them. Thumbs up!

Soulja Boys~

loL! Swam with our commando! Specially returned from Brunei recently. loL! More and more shuai liao right? Of course! That's what you expect "for honour and glory."! Yi song also having a "good time" over at Taiwan for training. God bless him. Allah bless him. Buddha bless him. All bless him. Tee Hee...

On the other hand...people like us are slowing falling into the hands of what seemed like an eternal greeness.

Yea, this is our infamous Jermy. loL!! Soulja boy!

anyway. Another lip-sync accident from failblog. I just love seeing them fail at these! loL!!

Anyway..i'm really sorry as i don't know what's wrong with my chatterbox. At rare occasions, it's functionable but now...it's like hibernating again. Zzzz...Just wait for the chatterbox to recover ya? In the mean time...stay tuned for not-so-interesting blogposts!

Clueless...

Sianz. Think I really screwed up big time. If only every answers can be answered with google or wikipedia. I think it's even much annoyed when you're not sure if there's even hint or hint that's not directed at you. Shucks~

come'on...where's my answer sheet!

Nowadays

Haven't been able to sit down and have a proper rest these few days. Even if I do have, I would already have spent it with my lappy and bike. =)

Maybe I should just take a sit, or lie on my bed and give myself some thoughts and reflections what have I done these days and what to expect in the near future. Life has been rather aimless for me the recent months, so bad that I travelled the never-been-there-besides-National-Camp Pulau Ubin twice straight in a month! Think I'm going there again soon. Need the forest and breeze there to soothe my feelings. *emo siol~*

*********************UBIN*********************

*********************Teo Heng******************

Nobody, Wondergirls. Thought there will be english pronounciation, but ....no...

yeapz, this is my pose for most of the session. *I can't sing, goodness~*

yea, she claimed that her singing was better if she hugged that pillar.

Teo Heng is really a much better choice compared to Kbox man! Cheaper and better services. Tee hee! Teo Heng FTW! =) Preferred choice now! loL! And after the singing session and dinner, we walked towards ParkWay for our Bus 15 and Yun Ru questioned me about one of my previous post and who I was referring to. *touched* This tells me that my blogposts are still being read! ^^v

Anyway, I really need to bring this out. That particular post is not to put anyone down or to criticize or humiliate anyone. Just a post to remind people and also to make myself known to readers. All of you are still my friends, buddy and comrades. I won't hate people. If I have to hate anyone (none yet), that guy really deserves it.

Army daze.

Army daze..

Army daze...

Still no sign of that lunar creature. How can I receive my moonlight! zzz....
